Bush VHF64

SABA Meersburg W3

Presented in 1957 by Bush, one of the foremost radio builders in the UK at the time, known for very high quality reception and sound.

This unit comes with two very substantial speakers, for bass and mid-range frequencies, and an electrostatic tweeter. This combination results in exceptional sound quality, especially using the pickup input and on FM reception.

Besides the FM, this radio also has LW, MW and SW.

It has separate Bass and Treble tone controls, a magic eye tube to assist tuning, and an internal fixed ferrite antenna to tune into MW and LW stations without the need for an external antenna. There is also a built-in FM dipole antenna, so again no external antenna is required.  It is sensitive on Shortwave, but you really need an external antenna for good reception.

This set has been completely and meticulously restored, with the tubes tested and all faulty or worn components replaced, to ensure years of service. The chassis has also been redone.
